It has been amazing to see all the UKirk Network social media posts these past few weeks welcoming new and returning students at tabling events, meals, opening convocations, tailgates, and worship. You and your students have been BUSY!
Collegiate ministry is an amazing calling. And it’s also one that requires you as UKirk Leaders to juggle many things all at once. It can be hard to stay spiritually centered as you take care of others and tend all the other things that ministry entails. This is why UKirk National is offering you two ways to carve out time to connect with God and with each other this Fall:
Monthly Spiritual Direction Small Group – these groups of 4-5 campus ministry leaders gather virtually once a month for 90 minutes for group spiritual direction led by a trained spiritual director. (The group and spiritual director will set their own schedule). To sign up or find out more, email Gini Norris-Lane at [email protected] by Monday, September 15th.
Peterson House UKirk Leaders Group – this group will meet 9 times over the course of the semester beginning Thursday, September 18th from 11:30-12:45 pm (EST). John Rogers and Rachel Hebert, both former campus ministers/chaplains, will be leading this group through Ignatian spiritual practices. No homework required! For a list of the dates, to learn more, or to sign up, go here and scroll down to the UKirk Leaders Group, Near Bethsaida. Deadline to sign up is Monday, September 15th.
