The tenth annual edition of Words for Waiting is here! What began in 2017 with a handful of campus ministers in Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee has grown to include students, groups, alumni and other neighbors from 35 different states. Over this decade contributors have offered a total of 362 reflections on 142 unique Scripture readings, in the form of paragraphs, poetry, image, and song. Join us this year for the latest installation of daily Scripture readings, reflection, and prayer from UKirk-network ministries and beyond. Daily entries begin November 29 and continue through the Christmas season to Epiphany on January 6.

There are two ways to read this free devotional:

  • Download and print this PDF to have a hard copy of the entire devotional. Print double-sided with .25” margins. (You might also need to tell your printer to use short-edge binding.) Fold in half, add a couple staples, and you’ve got yourself a booklet.
  • Read online at ukirkadvent.org. (Visit each day or subscribe in the column on the right to get an email with each new post.)

We are thankful to our friends in the PC(USA)’s Office of Christian Formation for continuing to partner with us in making this project possible!
