Virtual Circle of Trust Retreat April 24-26, 2025

“Our deepest calling is to grow into our own authentic self-hood, whether or not it conforms to some image of who we ought to be. As we do so, we will not only find the joy that every human being seeks–we will also find our path of authentic service in the world.” ~ Parker J. Palmer

This is one of our greatest hopes for the young adults who cross our paths in higher education ministry, and there is inner work that we can do to make us better conversation partners as our young friends are discerning who God is calling them to be in the next season(s) of their lives. This Circle of Trust® retreat is for your ministry and your soul, providing a space where you can connect with your own inner teacher with the gracious support of community that welcomes your soul, while also providing that support for others.

In order to create this welcoming and healing space, we lean in to the Practices of the Courage & Renewal Approach® (www.couragerenewal.org)
* Creating spaces that are open and hospitable, but resource-rich and charged with expectancy
* Committing to no fixing, advising, “saving” or correcting one another
* Asking honest, open questions to “hear each other into speech”
* Exploring the intersection of the universal stories of human experience with the personal stories of our lives
* Using multiple modes of reflection so everyone can find their place and pace Honoring confidentiality

Guided by the Courage & Renewal® approach, we will create a sacred, confidential space in which to do our own inner work in solitude and community. This virtual retreat will be Thursday, April 24th from Noon – 4 pm, Friday, April 25th from 9 am-4 pm, and Saturday, April 26th from 9 am to Noon. The cost is $40, and all participants who register by April 10th will receive a retreat box that will include a copy of Parker Palmer’s book “A Hidden Wholeness”.
