We rejoice with two of our UKirk Network Ministers whose books have recently been published!
In July, Rev. Stephen Cheyney, University Minister of Niner United at UNC Charlotte has
published, Start Here: Open the Bible, Enter Its Story, Walk Its Path. The three parts of the book – Open the Bible, Enter Its Story, and Walk Its Path – allows students (and all readers) to engage Scripture whatever their starting point and make it their own. Steve shares he wrote this book partly because he’s needed a resource to give students curious about the Bible and never found exactly what they needed. Now we have one! To learn more go here..
Rev. Megan LeCluyse, the Executive Director and Campus Minister of the Christian Association at the University of Pennsylvania, has just published her first book, You’re Not the Only One: Reflections on Faith, Doubt, Growing Up, and the College Experience. Her book explores some of the questions and themes that often play a major role for students when they are in college, and are somewhat arranged in order of transition to college, life at college, and transition out of college. She ends each chapter with a Scripture passage or two, quotes that resonated with her, a prayer, and questions to ponder, and is a great resources for students to use on their own, with friends or with their campus ministry group.
