Psalm 134:1-3

1   Come, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD,

who stand by night in the house of the LORD!

2   Lift up your hands to the holy place,

          and bless the LORD.

3   May the LORD, maker of heaven and earth,

          bless you from Zion.

Prayer

Eternal God, You are with me at the beginning of my life and will be with me as my journey on this earth ends. I thank You for Your steadfast presence, unwavering love, and the abundance of grace You pour out upon me. On this All Saints Day, I pause to remember and celebrate those who have gone before me, whose journey of faith is now complete, and they rest in You. I give thanks for the witness to Christ’s ministry in their lives, their faithfulness, and their work to expand the kin-dom of God. May the grief and sorrow at their absence stir me to seek to follow and continue in faithfulness as they did. May this be a blessing to me as one who mourns. For You are my ever-present comfort in life and in death. For I belong to you, trusting that nothing in life or death can separate me from Your love. Amen.
