Psalm 100 (NRSV)

1   Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth.
2        Worship the LORD with gladness;
come into his presence with singing.

3   Know that the LORD is God.
It is he that made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4   Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him, bless his name.

5   For the LORD is good;
his steadfast love endures for ever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

Prayer:

Sometimes we just don’t feel joyful, Holy One. Still, you claim us as your own. Even when we don’t have a song in our hearts, even when we can’t find the words to rejoice in your presence, you remain faithful to us. Your love is stronger than our circumstances and deeper than our doubts. Help us to notice your goodness in the little moments, that we might give thanks to you and bless your holy name, through Christ, with Christ, and in Christ. Amen.
