Young Adult Volunteer Partner Program with Casa de Miscericordia in Nogales, Sonora
James Martin, site coordinator at the US/Mexico Borderlands, shared, “We have summer-long opportunties here on the border with our partners in Nogales, Sonora being with Casa de Miscericordia, a migrant shelter in Nogales (CASA DE LA MISERICORDIA Y DE TODAS LAS NACIONES). The summer long opportunties are not officially run by the YAV program, so young adults need to cover their own expenses to arrive here, but once they are here they receive housing and food. It is a really good opportunity for any young adult who wants to learn more about migration and wants to learn Spanish during the summer.” For more information, email James Martin at [email protected]
