  1. This week we are celebrating the amazing accomplishments and leadership of UKirk Network ministers and chaplains. Michelle Scott-Huffman will lead a discussion on welcoming neurodiverse students in campus ministry. Rev. Rachel Penmore (UKirk UTK), Rev. Allison Wehrung (UKirk Ole Miss), and Rev. Colin Pettigrew (Clemson Presbyterian Student Association, Fort Hill Presbyterian Church) served on the leadership team for the Manna Young Adult Conference at Montreat January 26-28, 2024.

Rev. Mark Elsdon (Executive Director of Pres House at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and Co-Founder and Lead Builder at Rooted Good) has edited a new book Gone for Good: Negotiating the Coming Wave of Church Property Transition. Mark and Presbyterian Outlook editor Teri Ott will be leading a 60-minute webinar on February 15, 2024, at 7:00 pm EST.

Rev. Michelle Scott-Huffman (Ekklesia MSU) led two workshops at the 2024 APCE Annual Event in St. Louis, MO.

Rev. Maggie Alsup (Chaplain, Lyon College) wrote “Sex and the Bible” for the Presbyterian Outlook’s Fresh Outlook Bible Study Series. Maggie has also been certified as a Soul Shop Movement trainer and will be leading a Soul Shop for Leaders Faith Based Suicide Prevention Training at Louisville Seminary from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm on February 10, 2024. Rev. Katrina Pekich-Bundy (Pastor, FPC in Alma, Michigan, and Associate Protestant Chaplain, Alma College) wrote “Badass Women of the Bible” for the Presbyterian Outlook’s Fresh Outlook Bible Study Series.

Rev. Catherine Knott (Ball Family Chaplain of Hanover College in southern Indiana) wrote “God in the Mirror” for the Presbyterian Outlook’s Fresh Outlook Bible Study Series.

Rev. Rachel Hebert (Shadyside Presbyterian Church) graduated with her D.Min. in May, 2023, from Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Virginia.

Rev. Len Turner Scales, Rev. Dr. Andrew Scales and Princeton Presbyterians hosted Brother Emilie from the Taize Community in October, 2023.

Elizabeth Villegas (Campus Minister) and students from Wingspan Campus Ministry at UNC Wilmington, North Carolina) will be going to Peru on March 2nd for Spring Break to work with Paz y Esperanza.

Rev. Gini Norris-Lane led the Mission Presbytery Mid-Winter Youth Conference at Mo Ranch Camp and Conference Center January 12-14, 2024.

Rev. Jasmine Evans (North Decatur Presbyterian Church) led music at the 2024 Montreal College Conference January 2-5, 2024.
