UKirk will be hosting a virtual Longest Night service on Tuesday, December 19th, at 4 pm Eastern/1 pm Pacific. Led by Rev. Rachel Hebert (Shadyside Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh, PA), and Rev. Nathan Wheeler (Youth and Young Adults with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church), it will be a time for us to let out a collective sigh together and center ourselves in God’s presence.
Nathan and Rachel have created a service that will allow us to use all of our senses and creativity to participate together. If you have a chance, if you can email Gini at [email protected] and let her know you are hoping to participate, she can send you some materials for you to use during the service. You’ll be asked to have a candle close, so if you need one let her know that, too, and she’ll send you one!
