It’s that time of year where UKirk National invites network ministries to reaffirm our shared values and connections through our Annual UKirk Network Covenant. If it would be helpful, consider using one or more of the ideas below to help your leadership teams learn more about the national network and reflect on our shared ministry.
- Read and reflect on this brief history of UKirk National and collegiate ministry in the Presbyterian Church (USA).
- Invite your leadership team to read Matthew 5:14-16. Ask, “How is our campus ministry a light to students? How are we together as the UKirk Network a light to the larger church?”
- Go to the Find a Ministry map on ukirk.org and locate ministries in your state. Have your ministries ever partnered together on a program? Think about ways you could connect your students or boards. Close the discussion with a prayer for each of your sister ministries in the region.
- Ask your campus minister to share the program(s) or resources they have participated in through the larger network. What did they learn?
- Do you know high school seniors or college students who will be going to college out of town? Connect them with the campus ministry at their university by filling out this Refer a Student form.
- UKirk National is always seeking ways to provide better resources, programs and connections to campus ministers, ministry boards/committees, and students.
